So here's a quick guide to the common adjectives used to describe mics, and what their real meaning could be. Keep in mind,
these terms, while overused, can be used with sincerety, but alas, often they are just clever ways of disguising the product's flaws..............So
here we go!
Term 1: "Warm"
Translation: If I use this word enough in my review, I will get a free mic
Term 2: "Smooth"
Translation:
My editor tells me that, next to "warm", this is the second most important adjective to use for this review
Term 3: "Pleasant"
Translation:
As an inanimate object, it is unable to fire back with searing remarks, or engage in heated banter
Term 4: "Airy"
Translation:
The mic is too bright
Term 5: "Detailed"
Translation: The mic is REALLY too bright
Term 6: "Tight bottom
end"
Translation: The mic lacks bottom end
Term 7: "Round"
Translation: The mic has too much bottom end
